Havant salon helps children of Chernobyl
Headromance in Havant recently welcomed children from Chernobyl into the salon for a day of pampering treats and fun.
Each year, the Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline Charity arranges for children affected by the aftermath of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster to enjoy a four-week recuperative break, away from contaminated food, water and air. The trip is designed to boost their immune systems and is said to make a big difference to their health and wellbeing.
headromance first heard of the trip through clients Nicola and Tony Tame, who act as a ‘host family’ on behalf of the charity. Keen to help, headromance invited the children into the salon for complimentary cuts and styling and the chance to enjoy the hospitality of the award-winning team. Creative Designer Paige says: ‘The children are wonderful to be around. They’re so polite and grateful, it’s very humbling for the headromance team.’
