Great Lengths is excited to announce the return of its biennial UK awards. Returning for the fifth time, the Awards are the perfect chance for certified stylists to showcase their passion and creativity and join previous award winners as the cream of the crop.

New Categories And Prizes

With new categories and prizes including each winner receiving two tickets as part of a group tour of the Great Lengths production facility in Rome, the stakes couldn’t be higher.

Closing Date

Award entries will close on the 1st July 2018, and there are 11 prestigious categories in total. The awards will conclude in great style on the 16 September with an awards ceremony held at the Royal Armouries in Leeds; an evening of celebration of not only the finalists and crowned winners, but of the creativity and passion which is persistent in the brand and its wider family of over 1,500 certified salons and stylists.

  • Gold Salon/Freelancer Award – Outstanding Performance
  • Platinum Salon/Freelancer Award – Outstanding Performance – New for 2018
  • Best Newcomer Award
  • The Great Lengths Trophy – Extension Excellence

The Judges

A high-profile panel of industry judges will shortly be revealed adding yet more excitement to the eagerly anticipated awards. Previous winners have commented on their excitement on winning their awards at the Great Lengths 2016/2017 Awards and what winning the award meant to them and how it has since helped their business.

James Henderson, Owner of M Hair Salon, Nottingham and winner of The Great Lengths Trophy, Extension Excellence Award 2016/17 said: “Winning the Awards has given us the edge over our competitors and given our clients and prospective clients the confidence that they are in the best hands. Winning the awards has cemented our 30 years in the extensions business and helped to raise national awareness of our brand.”

It Was An Honour

When asked how she felt about winning the Best Gold Salon Award 2016/17, Emma Choremi from McQueens Hairdressing in Bristol said: “I felt so relieved and happy, for myself and for my team. It was an honour to be recognised. Winning the award gave me a whole new outlook on my work, my salon has been noticed and recognised as one of the best for extension work.”

The Future

Many of the award winners have gone on to work with the Great Lengths Head Office team on numerous collaborative opportunities including campaign shoots, PR and industry exhibitions, further raising their profile in the hair industry and also amongst potential clients.
