On the 6th April, Brighouse’s most famous hairdressing family, the Taylors, who own Taylors & Co and Edward & Co, are throwing the party of the century to mark 100 years in business. The event which will be held at the Brighouse Party Venue, will see over 140 local residents come together for an evening of dinner, dancing and reminiscing, as the two salons celebrate being in business and serving the barnets of Brighouse, for the past 100 years.

3 Million Haircuts

Commenting on the forthcoming evening, Jason Taylor of Taylors & Co. said, “There can’t be a family in Brighouse that hasn’t been through our doors at some point in the last century. Between us, we reckon we have delivered over 3 million haircuts, colours and restyles – and we’ve loved every minute of it.”

A Chance To Say Thanks

Continuing Gary of Edward & Co said, “The party is a chance for us to say thank you to Brighouse for supporting us since 1919; while also raising vital funds for two local charities that are very close to our hearts – Martins House for seriously ill children and the cancer ward at St James’ Hospital, Leeds. Tickets are selling out incredibly quickly, but if people would still like to show their support, we are also looking for donations for the evening raffle – so if there are any local businesses who’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from them. Our aim is to raise £2,000 for each charity, and knowing how generous the people of Brighouse are, we’re sure we can do this!”

100 Years

2019 marks 100 years in business for the Taylor family who own Taylors & Co and Edward & Co in Brighouse. The original family business, which was started by Edward Taylor in 1919, has grown over the century to provide training and employment to five generations of hairdressers. Today, Edward & Co is run by Gary & Heather Taylor with daughter, Annabelle, employed as a stylist; while Taylors & Co, the original family Salon, is owned by Jason Taylor.

Care + Service

Both salons pride themselves on delivering big city styles at local prices, with an emphasis on customer care and service. Alongside their traditional services, they also offer hair replacement pieces for clients who have experienced hair loss from cancer treatments, alopecia and illness.

About The Brothers

Brothers Gary and Jason are award winning stylists, with both holding the title of World Men’s Hairdressing Champion (in different years). Gary collected the title of North Western Hairdresser of the Year at HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards in 2012 and 2015; and is currently an Ambassador for Schwarzkopf Professional.
