EDINBURGH HAIRDRESSER CYCLES FROM LONDON TO PARIS TO RAISE AWARENESS AND DONATIONS FOR BLOODWISE
Simon Hill of SESH Hairdressing in Leith, Edinburgh completed the gruelling journey from London to Paris on his bike to raise money and awareness for the outstanding charity, Bloodwise. Simon was joined by Colin McAndrew from Medusa salons amongst other UK hairdressers. The trip began on Thursday 19th September and concluded as the group reached the Eifel Tower on Sunday 22nd September.
Day one saw the fleet of hairdresser’s cycle from Eltham to Calais, then on the second day from Calais to Abbeville and to conclude, from Abbeville to Beauvais on the third day before reaching their final destination, Paris. The fleet then returned to their hometown of Edinburgh via the Eurostar to London and further train journey back to Scotland. The team including Simon Hill from SESH Hairdressing and Colin McAndrew from Medusa, spent several months preparing for this adventure cycling around Scotland to ensure they were more than prepared for the 240 mile journey.
About The Charity
Bloodwise, previously known as Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research charity, is a cause close to Simon and Colin’s hearts and Simon smashed his donation target of £1,500. At present, the total raised by SESH Hairdressing is £1,530 and this may well increase as Simon spreads the word. The teams have raised an overall amount of £50,000 this year.
Simon commented; “I believe that we should all do our bit to give back and help those that we can. We all have a responsibility to give back and by taking part in things like this cycle is not only an incredible way to highlight a worthy cause and raise money for the charity, it also pushes you as an individual. At SESH Hairdressing giving back is something we are really passionate about and it is at the forefront of our brand. It is an honour to help this outstanding charity.”
