BREATHE + PROTECT FACEMASK FOUNDERS IN LINE FOR PRESTIGIOUS AWARD RECOGNISING ENTREPRENEURS
Founders of Breathe + Protect (a form- and function-focused lifestyle brand offering protective unisex facemasks for both adults and children) have secured a coveted position of finalist in this year’s Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
The duo , Ashley Westall and James Rose fought off stiff local competition to be shortlisted as one of four finalists in the Start-up Entrepreneur of the Year category in the North East region. Founded in 2013, the Great British Entrepreneur Awards are a highly regarded accolade, recognising leading entrepreneurial talent within businesses in the United Kingdom. With the aim of supporting, connecting and encouraging entrepreneurial minds, the awards have celebrated some outstanding entrepreneurial talent, including the founders of BrewDog, Tangle Teezer, The LAD Bible, and Clearscore.

With more than 45 years’ fashion and manufacturing industry experience between them, Ashley and James dynamically developed Breathe + Protect in May 2020 in response to a rapidly changing world and consumer and business landscape. The duo are dedicated to creating products marrying passion, precision and protection, offering style-savvy solutions to consumers and premium brands in the luxury retail, lifestyle, jewellery, fashion and hair and beauty sectors.

Judges this year include Hayley Parsons, founder of Go Compare, Cath Kidston, Lord Bilimoria of Cobra Beer and Kanya King, the founder of the MOBO awards, with winners of the 2020 Great British Entrepreneur Awards will this year be announced in an online ceremony on Wednesday 23 September at 7pm.
