Award-winning Marcus King appointed industry ambassador for Eleventh Hour Beauty
Sam Robinson

Eleventh Hour Beauty has appointed award-winning hairdresser, Marcus King, owner of the King and I salon in Norton, Durham, industry ambassador.

About Marcus

Marcus has worked in the hairdressing industry for over 30 years and holds the British Hairdressing Business Awards’ prestigious titles of Men’s Hairdresser of the Year 2015 and North Eastern Hairdresser of the Year 2012, a title for which he has been nominated nine times. He was a finalist for Creative Head’s Most Wanted Male Grooming Specialist, and he has travelled the world representing international product houses such as Schwarzkopf Professional plus is in demand for TV and editorial work. His salon on Norton is renowned for expert hair services delivered in luxurious surroundings.

About Eleventh Hour

Eleventh Hour is a new online platform that helps hair and beauty businesses and professionals fill empty slots, and helps customers find last-minute appointments. During the pandemic, they’ve adapted the platform to allow salons and freelancers to list ‘catch-up’ appointments to keep in-touch with loyal customers and pre-book slots for after the lockdown. Catch-ups can be used for virtual consultations, advice on DIY treatments or even just a friendly conversation – all which can continue as we emerge from lockdown.

FREE 11 Week Offer

With information on when and how salons, hair and beauty professionals, can return to work being imminent, Marcus is urging them to take advantage of Eleventh Hour Beauty’s FREE 11 week offer to ensure they maximise the anticipated client demand.

Avoid Over-Booking

He says, “I think we are all very aware how keen our clients are to book in for a variety of services once lockdown is lifted but this could lead to over-booking and so missing appointments. Plus, there will also be people who have to make the sensible decision to cancel an appointment, possibly last minute, due to displaying coronavirus symptoms. In addition, there will be people looking for appointments who can’t get in at their usual salons or need a home disaster corrected!”

Eleventh Hour Beauty founder, Abigail Fletcher says, “We have been overwhelmed with the number of people who have signed up to our App and online ready to use once salons re-open and freelancers are back at work, so we know there is the appetite from consumers under our #StandWithSalons campaign. We need our industry friends to sign up so that they can be found by people wanting services.”

No Initial Financial Commitment

In these difficult times, there is no initial financial commitment required from salons – in fact, they will have a FREE eleven-week subscription from when they re-open. Salons can sign-up now to ensure they keep in contact with clients, promote services and begin taking the real bookings that will revive their businesses.* For every salon, freelancer or customer that signs up to the platform, Eleventh Hour Beauty will be donating £1.00 to the Hair & Beauty Charity Covid-19 Relief Fund.

Prices for Eleventh Hour Beauty start at £9.99 per month for a student with one diary/column up to £49.99 per month for 6-10 diaries/columns and no fee is required until after 11 weeks from when they start re-trading.
